Kamla Nehru College of Pharmacy
Amar Sewa Mandal, a reputed education society was founded by Late Shri Govindraoji
Wanjari, to cater the needs of quality education in and around Nagpur. The society
has established many educational institutions in the Nagpur region. Kamla Nehru
Mahavidyalaya, one of the pioneering institutions run by the society was started
in 1983 with modest infrastructure and a few courses to offer. The College building
was inaugurated at the hands of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhiji on 12 September 1984. It
now offers undergraduate and post graduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, Home
Science to over 6500 students and is accredited (Grade A) by National Assessment
and Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi. As a part of diversification the society
has established Colleges for conducting professional courses viz. Pharmacy, Engineering
and ,Management etc.
